Your next step
Where are you with your extension?
Pick the one that fits and we'll tell you what to send.
Send us the drawings.
Email them to darren@doncontracts.ie. Our QS works from them to prepare a detailed, itemised price, so you can see exactly what the extension costs and where every euro goes.
Send what you have.
We'll give you a straight answer now, and a detailed price once the drawings are final. Bringing your builder in early is the best way to keep a build on budget.
Ring or WhatsApp Darren.
Tell him what you're thinking and we'll give you a straight answer on what's involved. Know the costly elements early: corner windows, large glazed sections and multiple roof windows all add up fast.

Questions
Before you ring.
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Some smaller rear extensions are exempt from planning, but the rules changed in July 2026 and depend on your house and anything added before. Check with Donegal County Council or your architect. We price from the drawings either way.
Will it match the rest of the house?
That's the job. We tie the extension into the existing building and finish it to match.
Do you ask for a deposit?
No. No deposits and no upfront costs.
Where do you work?
Across Donegal and the surrounding areas, including Northern Ireland. We're based at Newtowncunningham Business Park.
Planning: the exemptions for house extensions were amended by S.I. 338 of 2026, in force from 27 July 2026.
